Covering breakdowns and repairs on existing installations, from leaking pipes to boiler breakdowns.
At BRC we cover a wide variety of breakdowns and repairs, with some examples of the work we cover listed below. We always reserve some appointment slots for same day or next day visits to try and ensure we can respond quickly to the most urgent enquiries.
Whatever the issue, we will do our utmost to get the problem resolved swiftly, but do please bear in mind that a day in the life of a plumbing and heating engineer is always varied – we don’t always know what time we’ll get to you, but we will always do our best to keep you updated.
We are unable to offer a ‘24 hour’ service, we are a small family business and simply don’t have the staffing levels to offer that level of cover. But we do keep an eye on voicemails and emails in the evenings and weekends, so please always leave a message as it will mean that you are at the top of the list for a callback the next working day!
Our top priority will always be emergency plumbing repairs: this could include fixing a burst pipe, a leaking gas pipe, or pump out a leaking oil tank to prevent an oil spillage.
Regular repairs might include:
- Radiator repairs: Diagnosing the cause of a poorly performing radiator, clearing blocked pipework or valves, adjusting/correcting system balancing. We also work with all manufacturers of underfloor heating systems and are skilled at diagnosing and repairing systems and controls.
- Central heating repairs: Replacing a failed circulation pump, repair a valve that’s leaking, diagnose and replace a faulty motorised zone valve or a leak in the central heating system. Many faults are related to heating controls, and we are adept at diagnosing and repairing/replacing controls components as required.
- Oil boiler breakdowns – including restarting oil boilers after running out of oil
- Leaking oil pipework or leaking heating pipework
- Gas boiler breakdowns
- No hot water and/or heating
- Burst pipes and leaking taps
- General leak detection and repair (we have specialist leak detection equipment that can help with this)
- Broken WC flush
- Faulty thermostats
When you’re looking for a reliable breakdown and repair engineer, ask around for word of mouth recommendations, look at reviews and, most importantly, go for one that answers the phone!
