We work on servicing, maintenance and installation of air source and ground source heat pumps.
How do Heat Pumps work?

An air source or ground source heat pump uses the energy in the air or ground to provide heat and hot water to your home. It uses electricity to run the components of a heat pump, to transfer the energy from the heat source into your heating system.
At BRC we have been installing Heat Pumps for over 15 years, and we are experienced in the design and installation of heat pumps in domestic properties. While we strongly believe that Heat Pumps are the only sensible option for most new-build houses (and should have been compulsory for the last 10-15 years!) they can also be suitable for many properties as a retrofit option.
We are not biased towards any type of heating system and if you are looking at the option of installing a Heat Pump in your existing property to replace a fossil fuel heating/hot water system then we are always happy to listen to your needs and talk through the best options for you – but we won’t give you the hard sell for a heat pump if it’s not suitable for your home.
Give us a call or email if you would like our engineers to help you with:
- System design and installation of air source heat pumps (ASHP)
- System design and installation of ground source heat pumps (GSHP)
- Breakdowns and repairs on your heat pump system
- Routine servicing and maintenance of heat pumps – just like oil and gas heating systems, heat pumps should be serviced regularly to keep them in good working order and maintain your warranty.
If you are thinking about installing a heat pump under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) in order to qualify for a £7,500 grant towards the cost of your heat pump installation, please do get in touch. We are now working with an MCS Umbrella Scheme so that we can provide our existing customers with compliant installations that qualify for the BUS grant.
